Because that was, of course, the main takeaway from the moose's statement. At least from where Milo was standing.
Swaying.
There was another long stretch of silence from Milo, which he broke with no care as to what else was happening or being said at that moment, with one word. "Hufflepuff."
Moose's mouth was ajar. No no no no! You make more conversation with more words. Not just
'I know'. There was some benefit of the doubt laced into his words about Houses. He would hope that they'd know all this. He was
hoping they'd just keep up the conversation a little more. That glimmer of hope was definitely gone though.
If there was any idea that they were confused with his story they should speak up. If context was needed say something. For goodness sake contribute more to this discussion they were both having. Instead of just swinging back and forth from the compartment door.
"I'd figured you'd know." He sighed. Perhaps it wouldn't be such a bad idea to lift them off their swinging perch and shut the door on their faces.
Still yet, Moose pressed on.
"Hufflepuff?" Were they giving him an actually answer from his previous question? Wasn't his repetition of his own question the original answer? Context give some context!!
"What about Hufflepuff? I know some good Badgers." Tried to capture and release one last term, unsure what happened to it....Probably got eaten by some Acromantula's in the Forrest. Poor bugger. Moose would have found a better spot to release them.
