~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Brody’s early nervousness was only replaced by annoyance. Annoyance at the bats and annoyance at Goldwasser. He swore, not caring if his companions heard, the moment the Weather Modifying Charm took effect. Obviously Goldwasser was still pretty much determined to not go down without a fight.
Suddenly blinded, Brody threw up his free arm to shield himself from the light that stabbed at his corneas. WHAT THE…? It was only Ronan’s chastising that made him realise that Damian was the one who had cast that particular spell. That and the fact that Brody belatedly registered in his mind the incantation being said in Damian’s voice. “You’re really no help AT ALL,’’ the DIMC Coordinator snarled at the Mysteries employee quite crossly. He blinked, trying to get his eyes readjusted to the surroundings, shot a glare at Damian then whispered to Ronan. “I don’t think taunting Goldwasser is a good strategy right now. Maybe save it for after he’s captured?”
Oh yeah. Had Brody let his guard down during this time? No. His wand was still pointed in Goldwasser’s general direction and he was practically straining his ears and eyes for sudden movements. |
