~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. By this point in life, Brody had decided that Damian was quite useless. So now he was basically ignoring the older man for the time. Not even the muttered words, which sounded like an incantation, had him bothered enough to spare Damian a glance. Despite the ugly scene before them, despite the tenseness he felt, Brody immediately barked out a short laugh. It looked like Ronan had a sense of humor after all. Was Damian going to get anymore attention now? No. Instead, Brody watched Ronan work with interest. He had never really taken much notice of Aurors in their element but that had changed after meeting Gabriel. “Protego Duo!” Brody threw up a Shield Charm the moment he realised what was happening - the attack of the bats. But like Ronan, who was taking refuge behind their ‘friend’ he thought it to attack the direction the bats came from. Whatever lurked there most likely sent the bats attacking. “Petrificus Totalus!”
Brody didn't lower his wand afterwards. It remained trained in the direction of which they had attacked. He waited, his heart thudding in his ears, waiting for whatever lurked there to bust out at them. |
