Those compressed flowers eventually made it to her sketchpad where they were stuck using the Permanent Sticking Charm.

Anyway.

"Hope you're well.'' Having reached closer to Robinson, Claudine gave him a small smile before picking her way towards the back of the room. The last thing she needed was to fall flat on her face.
If he hadn't been so distracted in the moment, he might have casually corrected Claudine on the informal usage of the word 'hi' as a greeting, as opposed to 'hello'. But they weren't going to be gathered for too long before he gave them their assignment.

"Morning Claudine, yes I'm ... okay, although are winters always this cold?" Because frankly, he could do without the Scottish winters. His body was not accustomed to the cold and he wasn't sure that it would ever be.

He didn't know what was going on anymore. Perhaps he should pay Professor Flamsteed a visit one of these days. Was anyone else on board with this? Has anyone paid her a visit yet?

Literally skipping a vine, Noah entered the classroom and gave Robinson a curt nod and a greeting, "Good morning, professor." And...why were they asked not to get too comfortable? Was there going to be a pop quiz? Because he's ready for that, too. "Hey, Claudine." Noah took his usual seat at the back, and waited for the rest to arrive.
No pop quiz. Just because today's lessons was merely going to be giving them a little research project, but he needed to make sure they were armed and prepared to do the assignment. "Morning Noah," he greeted back.

But for now, he merely stepped over them and gave a nod towards Professor Robinson. "Hello, sir. Are you well?" He moved on to find himself a spot to sit, sliding into a desk seat and pulling out a notebook and pen in order to write down some notes.

He casually noted the page with his birthday too, just on case there was another question on it and he tried to cite his sister's again. Embarrassing.
Ignoring their existence was probably a smart thing to do and if Winston could read thoughts he would have agreed with Evan for his logic. The vines were like shaving ... whenever one shaved, the hair always seemed to grow right back and well, the vines were no different. "Hello Evan. Me? Oh, I'm ... swell, yes. Hope you're doing alright too?"

She just sort of stood there and looked... freaked out and completely distracted for a good minute before sitting beside Noah and hoping she didn’t offend anyone.

”Hi Noah! Hello, Professor.” Should she have included Professor Robinson when she was deciding where to sit? Maybe he needed friends too!

Well, it was a bit late for that...
Yes, Ashley, one should always include him when deciding where to sit. Preferably the front and center. "Morning Ashley, I see you're looking quite opaque today. Thank you for that." He grinned figuring she'd understand.

"Good morning, Professor," she said as she entered and sat gingerly on the edge of a seat, keeping a suspicious eye on the vines out of the corners of her eyes. She was hoping to get a really challenging project to work on, to take her mind off all the creeping (and creepy) plants.
"Morning Violet," he greeted the slytherin, who seemed to be warily eying the vines. He wanted to offer consolation and promises that they wouldn't hurt her, but well, this was a magical school and stranger things have happened from his readings of Hogwarts A History.

“Hello Professor”, she said, as she entered the classroom. Then Jordyn made her way to an empty seat and plopped down into it. She sat back, crossed her legs and waited to hear what plan for the day would be.
That was about the most hufflepuff way of looking at the vines. To coexist as friends, but then again, didn't hufflepuffs like their plants?

"Hello Jordyn, good morning."

Stepping over a particularly large vine, Dia found herself a seat with a ”Hello, Professor. Viney day, isn’t it?” Her way of trying to make light of the situation, since it seemed the groundskeeper had quit his job or something.
Was she trying to make a pun because that was where his mind went with her comment although, to be frank, he was pretty sure he was the lamest when it came to puns. "Morning. Yes, it's going to be a vine day after all, it seems," he gave her a small smile.

"Hello, professor!" She headed slowly towards a seat somewhere near the middle - making sure not to trip and fall.
So uh... when they said plants were good for breathing, Winston supposed that vines weren't part of that equation. But merlin, could they grow in just about anything!!! Which he supposed made sense from his knowledge of basic herbology. Vines were alway easy to grow, but difficult to get rid of and quite easily get out of hand.

"Hello Valentina, welcome!"

With his school bag hoisted over his left shoulder and a notebook clutched in his arms against his chest, Daniel entered the classroom. He gave the professor a quick nod of his head combined with a polite "Good day professor" before stepping over a few vines to sit at a desk with no one beside him.
It actually did have a nice ~aesthetic~ didn't it? Even if they were annoying and overgrown. "Morning Daniel," he greeted the young lad.

Winston glanced over at the door and waited a few more minutes, but didn't close it. "Okay, I guess we'll go ahead and get started. So last time we talked about our life path numbers and their influence with the arrows of pythagoras. Today's lesson will be more of a research assignment that will take place over the next month. But before I can give you the assignment, there's one more number that we need to know besides our life path numbers. Which if you recall, the life path numbers are the summation of the digits in your date of birth. The other number that we need to keep in mind for this assignment is your soul urge number."

"Using your full name on your birthday certificate, assign the appropriate number to only the vowels in your name. And reduce the number to a single digit. Go ahead and calculate your soul urge number now. I'll place mine on the board for an example."

Soul urge = 3
ooc: sorry for the delay :3 anyway, go ahead and calculate your character's soul urge number , making sure to reduce the numeric value of each name down a single digit before combining them. I'll post again tomorrow night or Thursday morning with more instructions about the assignment but feel free to catch up at any point while this is open <3
