He cannot afford to disappoint nowadays because a lot was at stake...namely his modelling career AND the upcoming summer holiday.

Gotta impress the folks, you know. Good grades meant an increase in his allowance, and he needed that extra galleons.

Obviously oblivious with what was going on with his partner, Noah took out his notes, and jotted down her idea on his parchment. "Poisoning, for sure...we can also add temporary and permanent damage to internal organs, maybe even affect one's mental state...worse, non-reversible transformation? I suppose that's possible." he said writing everything down as he spoke, "I'd rather be dead...so we'll put death, too." Noah sat back, biting his lower lip in thought, thinking of all the possible scenarios that might happen while brewing the potion. "Explosions...oh, maybe we should add intoxication due to toxic gas from a poorly brewed Wolfsbane potion. That can happen since this potion uses poisonous ingredients." Nodding, Noah passed his notes toward Florrie with a grin, "Did I miss anything?"

He had predicted many of their answers - particularly about the toxicity of the ingredients and the expense associated with it. But Ashley and Remy were discussing lactose intolerance possibly creating issues, which was an excellent point, and he heard Florre and Noah had brought up explosions and possible long term damage as well.

"Alright everyone - I've heard some excellent points brought up, and I'm going to quickly run through some of the more common answers I heard to help you all complete your lists," he explained as he headed back to the head of the class, waving his wand so a list appeared on the board as well:

"And to answer your question from earlier Mister Flamsteed..." he added, turning to the Gryffindor who'd asked about when the potion was first discovered before the activity began. "Damocles Belby was the one who invented the potion in the 1970s. Remus Lupin himself did not brew it - he is believed to have received it from others prior to his position at Hogwarts. Once he got here, he received his potion supply from Severus Snape," he explained. He could go in to more detail about it, as he honestly found the backstory fascinating, but that would just take away valuable lesson time.

"You all touched on the biggest issues with this potion. For one, it's extremely difficult to make - precision is KEY, which you will all find out about when we brew it later. If not brewed correctly, it can cause illness or even death - or it just may not work at all. Additionally, the ingredients are expensive, making it difficult for werewolves to acquire the ingredients. That means they have to resort to trying to find ingredients at a cheaper price - which may mean they're getting them from less than favorable black market dealers - or they have to place trust in someone else who can afford to make the potion for them."

"One question before we try brewing it ourselves - why do you think the Wolfsbane potion is so difficult and expensive to make? We make potions all the time with ingredients you can grow in your backyard. What makes THIS potion so special that it is so complex, and the ingredients are so hard to come by?" he asked the class.

OOC: Great job everyone! Onto the next question - you will have about 24ish hours to answer this before we head to the main activity. Excellent work so far!! Let me know if you have any questions before we continue onward!

Was it bad that her thoughts drifted to angry arguments in Muggle films and how they always ended up? Probably, but Florrie didn't care because no one would know what she was thinking. Her mind briefly flitted to Milo and his interest in Legilimens, but she quickly shook the thought off and turned her attention back to Noah.

Resting her chin in her hand, she nodded along with what he said, occasionally offering the boy a noise of agreement. She was glad that he had answers, because she hadn't thought about what poisoning meant beyond 'bad news' and....

Did he know that was distracting? That lip biting?

So distracting she almost didn't notice him passing her the notes, but she nodded anyway, briefly looking over them and nodding thoughtfully as though she was reading them and not thinking about -

AHEM! Thinking about whatever Professor Hernandez was saying. Collating their answers. On the board. Right.

She frowned a little at the next question - or, more specifically the answer Lindsay gave. Which was sad, because it was such a never ending circle of prejudice - if werewolves had easy access to the potion, then they wouldn't be as hated and feared, but that hatred and fear was born out of what they were like without the potion and that meant they couldn't get decent jobs to afford the potion and so they remained hated and feared and -

Honestly, it made her head hurt.

You know what also made her head hurt? Noah being clever. Listening to his answer irritated her, because it just reminded her that he was clever as well as looking like that and honestly, between him and Seth Elliot she was going to be killed by clever boys who looked like that.

She kept her own had down, though, because she didn't really have anything more to add. And it was busy writing what other people were saying.
