What could be under those? Hmmm.

“Hi, professor.” Claudine shot Applewood a smile then moved towards one of the benches. Might as well get comfy.
Ah, here came the first student now! Always so punctual, this one was. It was great to see.

"Hello, Miss Blaze," Rosalie said, returning the smile.

She was sad right now, but sad-and-getting-happier was a million and one times better than sad-and-getting-worse.
"Hello, Miss Fox." Rosalie offered her a smile as well. She looked a bit down, but hopefully she would feel better soon.

Arriving at the place set aside for the lesson, she absently greeted the professor: "Hello, Professor Applewood," and wondered inwardly why so many of the professors had decided to hold lessons out of doors now that the weather was turning cold.
Another student who seemed a bit lost in thought, but hopefully everything was alright. Rosalie smiled at her. "Hello, Miss Blackthorne."

Bundled up like Randy from the muggle movie “A Christmas Story”, she had no intention of being uncomfortable during class.

“Hello Professor”, Jordyn said, once she arrived at the outdoor classroom. Then she found a spot on one of the benches and prepared to think warm thoughts.
Rosalie was pleased to see all the students so far had dressed warmly for the occasion. It was good to see them so prepared. "Hello, Miss Guidry."

But changes were unfortunately inevitable so he really was attempting to just adjust to this particular one. Afterall, Muggle Studies was still his favorite. It was nice to be reminded of just the sheer normalcy of the subject.

Making his way to the meeting place on the grounds, he stopped to offer a small smile to Professor Applewood with a "Good evening", before making his way to a bench and finding himself a seat. It was pretty cold, but he'd bundled a bit of his plain clothes under his uniform in order to make sure he wouldn't be shivering during the lesson. He eyed the covered objects with some interest, before settling back and waiting for class to begin.
This young Ravenclaw seemed extra prepared, maintaining his uniform even with the extra layers for warmth. "Good evening, Mister Nam," Rosalie said with a smile. It wasn't quite evening yet, more mid-afternoon, but even with the sun peeking out on occasion, it did feel like it was later in the day to her too.

"Hi, professor." She greeted with her usual bright smile, making her way to one of the benches.
It was always wonderful when the students came in smiling and looking ready for the lesson ahead. Rosalie's smile brightened as well. "Hello, Miss Nichols."

So with chattering teeth and mighty strides through the snow blanket on the ground, Kins made her way to the "classroom" looking like a total Gryffindor-flavored ice lolly. "H-h-hi, P-p-professsor." It was cold outside, did she know? And no!!!!!! Kinsay Cassandra James was not being dramatic!!!!! Ok. So. Maybe a little bit. "Respectfully, Professor Applewood, can we never do class outside ever again?" Or only when it was sunny?

Maybe she could ask Sera to talk to her mum about it. Professor Applewood might listen to her more. Hm.

Building herself up tightly, and hiding her gloved hands under her armpits, Kiz made her way to sit near her fellow fourth years: Evan, Jordyn, and Valentina. How they were not shivering also was BEYOND her. Maybe they'd learn how to set themselves on fire today. That might help.
Oh dear, this one looked like she might freeze solid at any moment, even with the right clothes for the occasion. "Hello, Miss James," Rosalie said, offering a smile. "I can't promise to never do so. But I can promise you all won't have to sit for long." They would be moving around very soon, so hopefully the young Gryffindor didn't freeze before then.

Good examples like showing up to class on time and not being completely covered in snow when you did so.

...Sometimes being a seventh year was hard.

"Hello Professor. Beautiful day, isn't it?" The cold didn't bother Cece much as her inability to sit still for long kept her almost as cozy as her multiple layers of clothing did. The blonde gave Kizzy's head an affection pat as she made her way by the younger girl and then she found herself a spot on an empty bench and waited, knees bouncing in anticipation. Class would be starting soon, yes?
"It is indeed." Rosalie nodded, smiling. There really was something about snow spreading all over the grounds that was quite beautiful and magical. "Hello, Miss Summers."

His dark eyes scanned the classroom area as he approached, taking in the tarps and empty fire pit. He wondered what those were for! Oh well, he supposed he’d find out in time.

“Hello, Professor,” he greeted with a polite nod of acknowledgement. Three months into the school year, and it still felt weird not to see Professor Schmoe here! He wondered if that would ever change between now and his graduation. Probably not, he thought. The worst part was that he never got the chance to tell Schmoe that he was no longer angry over his imprisonment in The Room. Did he know, wherever he was?

Never mind… Now wasn’t the time to think about it. Heath shook his head to make those thoughts die as he took a seat on the bench with Claudine and Ash. “Hi,” he greeted the pair.
"Hello, Mister Jones," Rosalie replied with a smile and nod of her own, always pleased with how polite most of the students were.

"Good cold day, Professor," Phoebe waved at the professor before dropping onto a bench beside Cece. Her roommate go a little chilly cuddle. "Cute boots. Are your toes warm?"
The older James was certainly less frozen-looking than the younger as she practically bounced down the path. Rosalie smiled. "Good day indeed, Miss James." And cold, certainly, but still a good day.

It was really cold, and she didn't know if she'd be able to keep her gloves on.

"Good day, Professor!" she said cheerfully as she looked around and spotted Jordyn under all her layers. She took a seat on the bench next to her dormmate. Nudging her, she grinned. "Are you warm enough?"
Another very cheerful one. Always a pleasure to see. "Good day, Miss Turov," Rosalie said, smiling.

She huddled close to her brother and whined. “Evannnnn it’s so cooooollld.
"Hello, Miss Nam." Rosalie smiled. "I'm doing well, thank you, and you?"

Once the students were all seated and there were no more coming down the pathway, it was time to begin.

"Thanks for coming, everyone. Let's get started then, shall we?" Rosalie smiled. The snow crunched under her boots as she moved a little bit away from the path to a spot where she had a better view of them all.

"I know it's rather cold out here today, but I'm glad to see you all came prepared. Preparation and planning ahead are an important aspect of today's topic. You'll all be moving around soon too, which will help you stay warm as well, once we get further into the lesson. But before we get there, I have a few questions for you." Hopefully they didn't mind.

"I'd like you to tell me about an experience you've had while camping. Did you enjoy it? Why or why not? And if you haven't been camping yourself, why do you think other people enjoy it?"

OOC: First question's up, which means the lesson has begun! Even if you didn't get to post your character arriving, feel free to still jump on in! Just pretend your character's been here the whole time, unless you want to lose points by RPing arriving late. Class will move on in approximately 22-24 hours from now.
