Violet was distracted, ever since she'd gotten that letter from home. Bundled warmly against the snow, she nevertheless strayed from the path once or twice, lost in her thoughts, and her feet were getting a bit soggy. She could have cast warming and drying charms on them if she'd noticed, which she did not. Arriving at the place set aside for the lesson, she absently greeted the professor: "Hello, Professor Applewood," and wondered inwardly why so many of the professors had decided to hold lessons out of doors now that the weather was turning cold.
