But would they? Would they take it into account? This board member was still thinking about that near-stumble back along the path, and had her doubts. All the same, she gave a curt nod, and stood by with the others, observing. Making a small note about children walking about hand in hand, too, as though there hadn't been enough distractions from their studies to be getting on with.
At the girl (Kinsay)'s question, the board members present looked up, but the Hmm-er provided the answer. "Governors are elected, from a pool of eligible candidates." He drew himself up slightly. That's right. Elected official. But, given the tendency of these children to cast doubt on the board, he decided to shut down this line of questioning before any of the students became tempted to overstep into impertinence. Already the signs were there (and plenty of notes had been made).
He pointed his quill between the student, the groundskeeper, and the plants. "I'm sure you'll be wanting to get these planted, hmm?" Surely it wouldn't be too long until they were finished, plenty of helping hands here.
