You can always tell which trees don’t like hugs because those are the ones that give you a rash.” She laughed. Of course she knew that wasn’t really what was happening, but it was fun to pretend. Was it childish? A little, but Ashley Fox was a child and she wanted to spend the rest of her childhood having fun. Nobody could blame her for that.

“I’ve never seen this tree before either. It think it’s new.” Ash remembered everything. But then again, she hadn’t explored everywhere, so it could have been there forever and she just hadn’t noticed.

She stretched out. “How’s the start of your year been going?”
