She rose to her feet, feeling self-conscious. Mediating? Therapeutic artwork? Working on bringing out her happy memories? For some reason, Ash didn’t want to admit to doing any of those things. It made her feel vulnerable. But... maybe Quinn was alright. She trusted them. And what were friends for if you couldn’t be honest with them about... about things. “Hey Quinn. Um- yeah, I’m just drawing my best memory right now. I thought it would be helpful. For stuff.” She turned a little pink and fiddled with her crystal bracelets. Even explaining a tiny part of what she was doing made her embarrassed, then ashamed of her embarrassment. “I thought it would be helpful,” She repeated softly. “Please don’t laugh...” Please.
Quinn side frowned. "I wouldn't laugh, Ash. Why would you think that?" They walked into the boathouse and stood next to their friend. Quinn hoped that Ash trusted them more than to think they would laugh at her. But obviously she trusted them enough to at least talk to them, and they knew well enough Ash was not a talker if she didn't think you were trustworthy. "Helpful for... the memory stuff?" Quinn remembered their conversation about it last term. They eyed the drawing Ash held. "Is it alright if I...?" They reached their hand towards the drawing. They didn't want to force Ash to show them if she was uncomfortable.
