Why was school so hard? She had promised her dad she'd do better this year, and while she had made such a good homework schedule, sticking to it was hard. What didn't help was that her wand seemed stubborn in wanting to kick back into the magic swing of things. She was trying to remember what all the wandmaker had said about her wand and was actually tempted to do her own research about the wood and the core...and maybe she was doing something wrong.
Hadn't he said if she was lazy, or put little ambition into her work, that the wand might stop working?! That was Victoria's BIGGEST fear. What if her wand never worked ever again? What if she was forced to live without MAGIC?! These thoughts brought tears to her rather grey-blue eyes.
