She helped her brother set up the board, pleased to see that the contents of the box was not dusty. "Sure. What candy did you bring with you anyways?" she asked, grabbing a couple of tiles and setting herself up. "Do you have an A?"

Maya was sorting her tiles, but paused when Evan asked her how things were going. She shrugged her shoulders slight, before shuffling the tiles around. She didn't want her brother to worry about her or for him to owl Noah or their parents and make them worry about her either. Maya just wasn't as great at making friends the way Lisa was or Evan, for that matter. She would much rather spend time on her own and not be a nuisance to others.

"It's fine... my housemates are nice. The common room hasn't changed," she said, her expression neutral. "How's it been going in Ravenclaw?"
