Maya Nam is the third child of Alexander & Mi-kyong Nam. They are a close family and Maya enjoys spending time with her family. Of the four siblings, Maya has a tendency to play little jokes and pranks on her elder siblings - mostly Noah as well as "borrow" books, quills and paper from her elder siblings. She strives to be as good of an older sibling to Lisa, the youngest, the way Noah does. But she also does not ever mind passing on the responsibility to him. Like Evan, she loves to read and study. She's passionate about many things and loves to do the research.

She is always content to be alone and left to her own devices; never would she find a dull moment - there are too many experiments for her to try out. Maya, after finding out about the magical world, dreams of going to a boarding school the way her brothers do and hope that she has magic too. Unbeknownst to her, she has already shown signs of magic - origami birds multiplying during a welcome home prank for her brother, paper airplanes floating a little longer than they should, and turning the light on without using the switch.

When she received the acceptance letter from Hogwarts, she was thrilled to finally be attending the school that Evan & Noah did. As much as she had wished to be in the same house as Evan, the hat had bellowed out Slytherin and doomed her to the dungeon while both her siblings were in high off towers. Maya did not let that stop her from following the two around, however, her first year was not one that she’d ever dream of repeating. It was a terrifying year and the whole time, she was just grateful that Lisa had not found her way into the school. Like her brother, Evan, she laid low the entire term, trying to fly as under the radar as possible before the war started at the end of the term.

At the end of the war, she lost her interest in magic, instead delving into muggle studies such as science, mathematics and English literature - trying to recapture how easy her life was before magic was introduced. Maya was hesitant to reenter Hogwarts a second term, especially at the prospect of gaining another sister, Solana - she had learned that she was quite territorial when it came to her family. Despite being given the option to stay home her second year, she couldn’t leave her youngest sibling to go to Hogwarts without her and so she went back to school, kept her head low and just focused on studying.
