What about you?” She looked back at the fireworks guy. “I like Phoenixes, see?” She showed him her fake tattoo. “I’m gonna get a real one one day.” HEY! Dustin was disagreeing under his breath, she could hear it!!! She pouted. “You can’t say no to this face, can you?”Dad Dustin just laughed. Ash winked at Serena. “I’m getting that tattoo.” Ash was COMMITTED. She had two years to convince him. It was happening. ”Are you ready for fireworks, Serena? This is gonna be EPIC.” She just knew it. She was so sure this would be awesome, she had decided to be happy today.
"No," Serena grumbled in their direction.
"My dad said they aren't my pets or toys and that I have to respect them." EYE ROLLLLLLLLLLL. Security was boring.
The wires in Serena's head crossed when Ashley referred to Dustin as dad. Wasn't he the bodyguard? Or had Serena misunderstood? Or was her dad both?
"Dustin is your dad?" she asked curiously. Was the other guy her uncle? Was it a family business?
Listening to Ashley talk about her future tattoo, Serena nodded. Yes, Ashley would get her tattoo and when that happens Serena wishes to be there.
"I want to be there when that happens," she voiced aloud. It'll be great.
Glancing at the items available, Serena decided what vessel she wanted.
"I want a cauldron as a vessel, and something cool to explode out of it. I'm not sure what, yet." Hmm.

"So...we can't handle the explosives?" That sounded...
"For the fireworks?" she added. She was looking forward to handling all the things on her own.
