It was unexpected, but awfully nice, of her former classmate Eiji to invite her to the celebration. If it wasn’t for him, she would have been completely unaware of the festival. Due to her uni work and internship in Canada, she had not been able to catch up with news in Wizarding Britain. The former Ravenclaw immediately replied with a date and place they could meet, and arranged to travel to London for the weekend.
Jina’s smile widened when she approached the end of the street she mentioned in her letter, and saw a bowling alley that seemed to use potion bottles as pins. How creative! She observed other people’s attempts at bottle bowling while she waited for Eiji beside the lanes. In a horrendous twist of fate, Eiji Rasting was completely oblivious to his casual correspondence with Jina not only resulting in her return to the UK for these celebration...but that it had been a personal invitation and that she was waiting to meet him. He considered very few to be friends (read: 5) and even fewer (read: 2) were considered his inner circle and people he trusted entirely. Jina had landed herself somewhere around the perimeter of friend and acquittance and was someone who he more than tolerated spending time with while they were at Hogwarts. Enough so that he did not mind pairing up during lessons if it came to it.
But meeting to spend a day together at a festival playing carnival games? Not on his radar.
Playing with the pendent (self crafted from some failed alloys in his eastern alchemy studies at university in Kyoto), Eiji had come today with his little sister...but she had already darted off to be with her boyfriend and that left Eiji looking around for Missa who ought to be on security patrols. His thumb ran along the seam of his tanktop as he approached the booth (the phials and explosions had drawn his attention to the brewing possibilities and it possibly being a game he could win at) and unknowingly came up beside Jina. Clicking his tongue in mild disappointment, and scrutinizing the shrunken heads for their sheer existence, the former Slytherin was just about to turn and leave when he noticed her.
"...Jina?" Wasn't she supposed to be all the way across the pond?
