Nem had woken that morning with a one thought at the forefront of their mind. Unshakeable, perhaps, though really it was hard to say, as they hadn't put all that much effort into shaking it. Any effort, in fact.
Evidently in better health than they'd seemed in recent weeks - due in part to prematurely restarting the potions routine they had had to abandon for a time - but with a curiously blank expression, Nem strode through the castle and out into the morning air. Monday, around breakfast time, so most students and staff were likely to be in the Great Hall, but otherwise Nem was not subtle nor furtive as they walked with purpose into the courtyard and straight to the poorly restored pillar.
They didn't stop to read, only drew their wand and stepped up to the plaque, and began working it off of the stone. And if it didn't come away so easily? Not a problem, Nem wouldn't mind taking a chunk of the pillar that had killed Lucien Rosier.
