Really, the only energy she had left was in her hand, holding on to Kayne like a lifeline. She did him a favor and let go. Her hand hurt already, and she was worried that she had crushed all of his finger bones.

Ash could still manage to speak, even though her voice was all wobbly and wrong. “It looks like the kitchen is blocked from divination magic, and I’m not sure we can do much about it. That sucks, but it tells us something important: there is something weird going on in there.” She smirked. People tended to think she was crazy and worried too much, but she had been right. Again. “Problem is... we can’t tell the professors. They’d focus on why we are trying to scry, not the results we found.” Adults were dumb. Willfully so. Ugh.

“We should probably undo this bubble as soon as we’re not doing anything secret. That’ll make this less suspicious. Where do we go from here?” It was mostly a question about next steps, but if he interpreted it as a question about a literal location... Ash would be very happy if they went to the hospital wing or back to the common rooms. She was tired. She wanted to take a VERY long nap, at the bare minimum. She could use a calming potion too, or maybe a hug.

Who knew that mirrors could be so exhausting? Other than Ash, obviously. She definitely knew that. Duh.

Boy, oh boy, Kayne didn't realize Ash's utter dislike for mirrors was that intense; that is, until he actually glanced over at her noticing that she was as pale as a ghost. Thankfully though, nothing bad had actually happened, it could've ended a lot worse than how it did. Ash could have went into a full blown panic attack, but luckily for the VP, she didn't. Kayne wasn't too good when it came to getting people to calm down in those types of situations, unless it was via the use of some form of charm. His charm and wit mainly came to play in situations where he was clapping back at someone, or flirting; the first being the most prevalent situation. Also luckily for him, his friend had managed to not squeeze the boy's hands too much to where it actually had hurt. Being as athletic as he was, Kayne's hands were pretty resilient when it came to them not being injured thankfully. It would have to take a lot of force in order to actually do some serious damage.

Grinning back in his queen's direction, Kayne agreed with the young claw, nodding in approval. "Indeed, you are right on both counts there your majesty. I think it would be best if we either try to help them right now, or we could always try our own little raid on the kitchen later." It was all a matter of circumstance really. He would prefer to go now, because if anything wrong were to occur, then they'd have back up right then and there. With that being said though, Kayne could also tell that Ash was rather tired and most likely needed some rest.

Placing the mirror back in his bag just to get it out of the girl's sight, he sighed a bit. Part of him was rather disappointed that this didn't work, but also part of him still knew that it wasn't a complete loss. At least they got some form of confirmation that something was off.
