Hogwarts RPG Name: Brandon Fox Hufflepuff Fifth Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Phoebe Calypso [s]Dupont[/s] Slytherin Third Year | Which came first, the phoenix or the flame? SPOILER!!: The very disappointed lord of divination Quote:

The fourth year snake grabbed Ash's hands tightly back, and repeated what he said before "Show us the Kitchens here at Hogwarts." This time, he placed even more concentration into trying to see into the kitchen. Closing his eyes, he had pictured what it looked like before, the sight, the smell, even the feel of the food being made.
Then, a few moments later, his eyes reopened to see...
The same scene that had played before..."It's just the same thing." Kayne said sighing. His smile now turning into a slight frown. Mordrake went on by saying "If Scrying won't work, water scrying might not work either to be honest." It was sad, but true. If there was something blocking regular scrying, it most likely included other forms of that type of divination. Aw man. The divination still hadn’t worked. It wasn’t completely useless, because they HAD learned a few things. But Ash’s energy had been almost completely drained. She didn’t say so, but she was certain it showed on her face. Her face was pale, her breathing was too fast, and she couldn’t see properly. She shook like a leaf. Really, the only energy she had left was in her hand, holding on to Kayne like a lifeline. She did him a favor and let go. Her hand hurt already, and she was worried that she had crushed all of his finger bones.
Ash could still manage to speak, even though her voice was all wobbly and wrong. “It looks like the kitchen is blocked from divination magic, and I’m not sure we can do much about it. That sucks, but it tells us something important: there is something weird going on in there.” She smirked. People tended to think she was crazy and worried too much, but she had been right. Again. “Problem is... we can’t tell the professors. They’d focus on why we are trying to scry, not the results we found.” Adults were dumb. Willfully so. Ugh. “We should probably undo this bubble as soon as we’re not doing anything secret. That’ll make this less suspicious. Where do we go from here?” It was mostly a question about next steps, but if he interpreted it as a question about a literal location... Ash would be very happy if they went to the hospital wing or back to the common rooms. She was tired. She wanted to take a VERY long nap, at the bare minimum. She could use a calming potion too, or maybe a hug.
Who knew that mirrors could be so exhausting? Other than Ash, obviously. She definitely knew that. Duh. |
