Hogwarts RPG Name: Sloane Aubrey Knott Slytherin Fifth Year | SPOILER!!: Dahlia Quote:

Higher and higher AND HIGHER...
She kept climbing the stairs that seemed to go on forever and led to nowhere. There was nothing on either side of the stairs and all she could see was steps below and steps above. It was silent, there was no breeze or music or anything. Only never-ending stairs. No matter what she did she just kept climbing, it was like she knew she had to reach the top. There was something great at the top, she could feel it.
And so she continued to climb the steps. All the way to the very top overlooking nothing. Standing there and staring down all she could see was blue. Clear blue like the sky on a beautiful spring day. Where was she supposed to go now? Was she meant to walk ALL the way back down the stairs? Looking over her shoulder, she saw that the stairs were gone and she was standing on what was meant to be the last step and it was floating there in the air. Where was she supposed to go now? What was she supposed to do?
Out of seemingly nowhere at all a quill with a bright purple feather appeared floating in the air right in front of her. Grabbing it, Lia stared at for a moment and then began to draw a large rectangle in front of herself. Hesitantly she lifted her foot and moved it over the area she had just drawn, tapped the top of her sneaker against the top line. Her sneaker didn't go through it! It was solid!
Jumping onto the rectangle, she continued to draw different things. A butterfly that flew around on its own. A flower, a small tree, a little stream with some fish in it that swam around. A bench to sit on. The list went on and on until suddenly then quill wouldn't work for anymore.
Dahlia shook the feathered quill, turned it upside and inspected it to see if something was wrong with it. She didn't understand what had happened. Purple ink was still dripping from it. It was as if someone else had power of it now and it now longer belonged to her. But how? Why? Who?
When Lia woke it was with a start, to the sound of a THUD from books falling to the floor and not from having her face drawn on. Her blue eyes did however meet Ingrid's in clear confusion as she noticed the quill in her hand. If she didn't have smudged ink on her cheeks it might have been more noticeable that she was blushing in embarrassment. This was NOT the first time someone had found her asleep recently. "What are you doing?" she asked quietly, nodding at the quill in Ingrid's hand. "And did you hear THAT?" That being the really loud THUD of those falling books. Where had it come from cause she didn't see anything from where she was sitting at this table. SPOILER!!: V Quote:

deep breaths, V.
She had to do SOMETHING to salvage her grades. So here she was, trying to save the wreckage of her Charms grade. And every other class, almost. She was seated at a study table, daydreaming about being outside instead of the dust library, when she heard the ENORMOUS THUD. She looked up and saw Remy.
And V didn't know, still, how she felt about Remy. She was more Lisa's friend than hers, and she often felt like she was catching Remy doing something NOT friendly toward herself. So she was waiting to pass judgment, really. "Here, I got it - " she said quickly as she jumped up, almost as if she were READY for a distraction from homework. She snagged the book off the ground and stood on her tippy toes to try to hand it back to the other first year. "Unless this is the book you want." SPOILER!!: Remy Quote:

In fact, had V and Remy ever hung out together just the two of them? They were more… friends of friends, but Remy was up for changing that into something more exclusive.
“Oh, thank you.” She took the book and examined it. “UGH.” It wasn’t even the right one after all of that. Remy had no interest in looking again so she stepped down and jumped off the last two steps. “I’ve spent ages looking but it doesn’t really matter.” The first year shrugged, and FINALLY smiled.
“Hi. Wanna find somewhere to sit?” Remy glanced at the book that V handed to her. A book about dragons. Maybe she was in the wrong section. With the quill moving lightly across Dahlia’s face, Ingrid smiled as the girl frowned in her sleep. Her dreams must have been really interesting. The pattern was almost perfect and simply required the smallest amount of…when the falling of books in the background startled Dahlia. “Me? Uh… I’m just trying to wake you up. You feel asleep and I heard something. Did you hear that?” Yes. That was what she needed to do. Blame the falling of the books in the background.
With a small, inward sigh, Ingrid dropped the quill back down on the table and flashed a helpful smile that was slightly tinged with pink and turned around to where the sound came from. “You want to go and check it out?” or was that too much to ask seeing as she had a surprisingly detailed pattern doodled across half of her face and a massive smudge on the other half? |
