Remy was looking for a specific divination book, mostly because she was terrible at that class, but also she had been having dreams that she wanted to explore. She couldn’t find it on the lower shelves of the bookcase, so she braved the ladder as much as she could.

She WANTED to use this time to practise the summoning charm, but this probably wasn’t the best place for that, a quiet library and all, but it really would’ve been perfect. So instead, Remy hung off the ladder, too scared to step any higher but the book she wanted was just a little out of reach. The Gryffindor tugged at the book, and knocked down about three onto the ground with a THUD.

Well, at least it wasn’t her that was thudding to the ground. Remy sighed and took a moment to contemplate life at the top of the ladder.
V rarely went to the library. She rare did homework, actually, because she was too nervous she would be bad at it. But then, now EVERYTHING had backed up, and she was behind and and and and -

deep breaths, V.

She had to do SOMETHING to salvage her grades. So here she was, trying to save the wreckage of her Charms grade. And every other class, almost. She was seated at a study table, daydreaming about being outside instead of the dust library, when she heard the ENORMOUS THUD. She looked up and saw Remy.

And V didn't know, still, how she felt about Remy. She was more Lisa's friend than hers, and she often felt like she was catching Remy doing something NOT friendly toward herself. So she was waiting to pass judgment, really. "Here, I got it - " she said quickly as she jumped up, almost as if she were READY for a distraction from homework. She snagged the book off the ground and stood on her tippy toes to try to hand it back to the other first year. "Unless this is the book you want."
