~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Claudine considered Kinsay’s question. “I reckon that’s a strong possibility.” She’d been going for the possibility of being struck by lightning and killed but no need to voice that morbid thought out loud. The Snakette was pleased that Kazmi decided to use her response to warn them all about flying in inclement weather. She felt certain a few of the dunderheads here needed to be reminded.
After a bit more explanation from the flying instructor, Claudine did as was instructed and followed the man. There turned out to be a simple set-up there with fancy mats. She stood there, eyeing them and listening to their instructions with a small frown on her face. The frown meant that she was trying to make the instructions stick to her brain.
Claudine decided to have a go first at the stationary mat. When her turn came, she took off from the instructed spot: somewhere around halfway down the Training Area. With great speed, she flew towards the mat, keeping her eyes on it. Merlin! Was that an adrenaline rush? Yes, it was.
And…
That mat was closing in awfully quickly. |
