HE HAD SEEN.

V was ecstatic. HE HAD SEEN HER DO A GOOD THING. SHE DID SOMETHING GOOD. Flying was so FUN though. So FREEING. And you didn't need to know anything beforehand or whatnot...no homework required necessarily. And like, you could learn to be a good flyer. It wasn't like Potions or Charms or whatever, where V had found she was already abysmal at it.

She didn't think she should contribute to the conversation at all since she was only a first year, and new to flying. So like, why would anyone want her advice? V stayed quiet, listening carefully to other answers.

She had begun to notice, too, that Lisa was very smart. It made sense she was in Ravenclaw. A part of her felt really icky thinking about how smart Lisa was. It wasn't fair, was it, that you were either born smart or not. Lisa just seemed to get things.

And V never just got things. It was why she gave up on being good at any subject that required a lot of work.
