When it seemed Yoon the Younger was going to have another try, Nem shuffled back slightly to give him room, and leaned back on their hands, still holding their wand in their left. The fact that his last attempt had brought the first year to the floor didn't much worry them.
They watched as he cast the spell - noting in the process that he was the sort to close his eyes in order to visualise - scrutinising his form and entire demeanour. Nem's eyes ran over the shield, or what passed as one, in the brief second before it disappeared again.
"I think so," they said, with a nod. "Hard to say without testing it, but it looked like it. Definitely a step in the right direction." You know, if the earlier... whatever it was had been anything to go by. "Bit of practice and you'll be maintaining a shield in no time."
