She had actually finished the letter, and had it in a muggle envelope and everything.
But there was one thing left. Ash took out a small stack of muggle photos of the scenery, and started looking through them to see which ones looked the best but didn't show anything magical in the background. Obviously she couldn't send him a picture of the quidditch pitch. That would be disastrous and possibly illegal. And confusing for him. Jeez. This whole 'hiding things so that you don't compromise the security of the entire wizarding world' thing absolutely sucked. She was kinda used to it though by now. She'd done it for years.
Ash was down to five photos now. Ash was kinda stuck. Should she just pick one? Should she put all of them? Should she pick randomly? She figured that she should just attach all of them. Theodore liked photography anyway. But perhaps she should save a few photos for her next letter instead of including them all at once? This was A Problem. Seriously. She didn't exactly have feelings of Great Consternation, but she still looked Pensive and Deep In Thought. Yes, she knew what all of those words meant. Not that she would ever admit it out loud.
V thought it was a LOVELY & BLISTERING day for a walk with the wind hitting her cheeks and making them red. Which only meant she looked like she was wearing blush, and since she couldn't wear makeup yet, this was totally cool with her.
It was, like, early November, right? Cool cool cool. Her thicker robes were being put to use for sure.
However, the separation from Prince Charleston was okay on some days, and other days she just wanted to cry nonstop about it. She had give pictures of him in her hands as she escaped the confines of the castle to come cry about him outside. Him posed with her dad, with the twins, even one with him licking her mum's face. Ugh. Alix probably hated that. And V missed them all terribly. HORRIBLY. TERRIBLY.
She sniffled and wiped her eyes on her sleeve. Here she went again,
crying.
Maybe she was totally a crybaby, like Yoon thought.
But her sniffle was louder than she wanted it to be, and she hadn't noticed the slightly older Ravenclaw girl nearby, but she plopped onto the ground next to some of the stone steps. The moving pictures were a bit of a comfort for her. Ugh. He was so cute ;_______; She missed him ;______________;
