Quinn hadn't brought any nice costumes from home, so... he decided he would whip something up himself. He had some yarn and his knitting needles, markers, paper...and an idea.
After a couple days' preparation, Quinn came to class as a black cat. He wasn't in a full out costume: he colored some paper black and pink, cut them into triangles and stuck them together to make ears which he stuck in his hair with bobby pins (thanks for those, Eden); he used markers to draw whiskers on his face and color the tip of his nose pink; he knitted a black "tail" of sorts that hung off the back of his pants; and he dressed in a black shirt and black pants. It wasn't extravagant, but he was proud because he made it himself. "Afternoon, Professor."
Quinn looked around at the open seats. He would've sat by Ash, but she was sitting by Nem and he would not be sitting next to them. He didn't even understand why Ash was, truthfully. Quinn let his gaze linger on Nem for a beat—they had obviously done that on purpose, and Quinn didn't understand why they were so horrible for no reason. "Hm," he huffed, looking away before making his way to the back of the class. He plopped himself down in a seat next to Claudine. "Hey," he said, smiling a bit. If Nem was the reason Slytherins got a bad rap, then Claudine was the reason they got a good one.
