Conscious of the fact that he was a responsible adult surrounded by students, and thus expected to continue displaying his usual level of decorum, Kamran managed not to stuff his face with the banana bread as he greeted those who greeted him - or simply ended up seated nearby - with 'hello's and nods. At any rate, some distance was probably a good idea, however it was managed, maybe with someone the girl trusted. Though many students had already left, they didn't need the situation escalating, even if Kitridge seemed to be raising some fairly valid points.
