The steam pouring out of Mal's ears hadn't fully abated by the time she reached the Hufflepuff table, but it was calming down some. She could have made it stop completely but the third-year was wallowing and wallowing and wallowing.
Hufflepuff? really? really? REALLY? She let her face fall flat onto the table surface, welcoming the thud of pain. GOOD. she hoped her nose was broken (it wasn't), then her moms could sue the teachers for negligence and they have to give them tons of money, that would show them.
Vaguely, Mal was aware of the others around her. words of their conversations occasionally catching her attention only for Mal to remember she was angry, and therefore uninterested.
but if anyone wanted to ask her how she was- well, that would be terrible but she supposed it would be not so terrible that she couldn't brave through her pain.
