If someone looked at one Scarlett Mordaunt casually walking up to the front of the Great Hall with her peers, they would never think she had a pretty strong and rather heavy family background when it came to sorting.
The girl was the epitome of relaxed, chilled and ready to have some FUN. Which was what school was all about ANYWAY. She smiled as she looked aaaaaaaaaaallllll around her at eeevveerryything that was there and all the stuff floating around and stained glass WINDOWS and CANDLES and the STARS ALL THE WAY UP THERE.
It was all so PRETTY and COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The eleven year-old stood there for a looonnnggg time - it always happened to her when they went in alphabetical order -, an upbeat tune playing in her head causing her head to bop as she swayed in place. Ladedaaaah.

Finally rushing off to take a seat on the stool, Scarlett placed the Sorting Hat on her head and started to kick her legs as she once again waaaiiittteeeedddddd for a rather long time.
MERLIN, it was like the Hat was taking his sweet time that evening with eeevvvvverybody, including herself.
Scarlett probably didn't look like she was listening to what the Hat was saying, and she kept looking around at the Great Hall itself. To do that, she had even lifted the front of the Hat a little because it was HUGE and it was covering her eyes. It told her to sit still and put it back on properly, but did she do it? Nope. She continued to kick her legs as she grinned and looked around.
Eeeeeeeeeventually it decided to shout, FIIIIINALLY.
"HUFFLEPUFF!!" It said.
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Scarlett exclaimed, jumping up and carelessly tossing the Hat back on the stool before skipping towards the table that was the LOUDEST when it came to APPLAUDING her being NEWLY SORTED.
