As she was arriving at the Gryffindor table, the blonde noticed a first year fleeing the area where Feebs, Emm, and Kizzy were sitting and she wondered why. The poor kid looked upset and Cece couldn’t help but think that Emm was the reason. She didn’t always think when she spoke, y’know? And that was sometimes a problem. She offered her friends a smile and a wave, but decided to check on the little instead of sitting with them.
”The first day is always kind of weird,” She said softly as she took a seat across from the girl. ”But it’s exciting, too. Welcome to Gryffindor. I’m Cece.” She offered her fist across the table for a fist bump.
It was easier to hide at the bottom of the table, she supposed. Remy wasn't the type to hide herself away, so these feelings were all new to her. At least she felt comfort knowing that she had left a gap between herself and the other students, so that they couldn't hear her sniffling. The first year glanced up as she heard her friend, Ollie, being sorted into Slytherin house, and she couldn't help but feel envious of her. Imagine that... feeling envious of being sorted into
Slytherin. She didn't clap, due to her grouchy mood, but she was still eager to catch up with her friend later.
Remy jumped a little when someone started talking nearby. She quickly wiped her cheeks and peered up with a frown. It was an older Gryffindor, and she seemed very friendly. Remy didn't respond immediately, expecting to get hexed into next week judging by these horrible Gryffindors.
It wasn't until the girl welcomed her into the house that Remy brightened up a little.
"Th..." Her voice was croaky, so she cleared it quietly. "
Thanks." Aw, a fist bump. This made her smile. Remy returned the fist bump and sat up a little. "
I'm Remy." She introduced herself back. She did notice the girl smiling at the mean girls but decided not to judge her. "
It is weird. I sure hope people are nicer to me on the other days." Remy glanced at the other girls again.
