The train ride seemed to be faster than Faye could remember, but it was likely just due to the fact that she had zoned out for the most of the ride to the school because they'd already arrived and she was already back in the school halls after last term, which seemed to almost rush back into the redhead's thoughts of the events that conspired not too long ago.

The now sixth year badger was still surprised that she had returned here after all of those discussions with her parents over the summer about returning to Hogwarts. There was a large part of her that felt defiant to allow those events define her present or her future. That was a good way to describe how she had felt this passed summer, defiant with a touch of resilience. Maybe that was what had eventually had convinced Faye's parents to allow their only child to return in the end. To not live in fear. And they were so proud of their strong girl for that.

When she made her way into the Great Hall, as she had been doing these passed several years, it appeared that she was one of the first to arrive.
