| *slep* Lovely™ | Captain Hurted | Ariana's Bane | Resident Antagonist | Unparalleled Delight KAISER: ORDER OF THE PHOENIX Kaiser knew that worry was pointless. Rationally, logically, he knew that worrying about something did not solve it. He knew that fixating on something did nothing to help anything without also taking action. He'd always known these things, and perhaps that was why he firmly denied any and all accusations of anxiety, but it didn't stop him concerning himself now with where Charles was and what he was doing. Fletcher too. Candela. Elio.
But he did as Beryl told him, and went to find somewhere to rest, ending up off to the very side of the room, to where the tables had been pushed back, well out of the way. Right down at the end of the hall, Kaiser slipped into a space between tables and wall, a corner where he could see as much of the room as he could, including the doors, and sat on the floor with his back resting against the stone wall. He drew his wand from its holster, held it ready in one hand, folding his arms and concealing it on the hidden side of his body while he rested. Rest. Just for a moment, just a moment.
Kaiser didn't really think it would be possible for him to fall asleep. So much was happening, his mind raced with everything and nothing, the flashing lights of spells were still visible through the windows and distant explosions could also be heard, but the pounding in his head was not quite so harsh as it was. He could manage the pain, but struggled now with thinking. Here, sitting on the floor, every time he found a thought and tried to hold onto it, it quickly slipped away. Kaiser watched the door, waiting for familiar faces, only for his mind to drift and snake its way down other avenues. His eyelids grew heavy.
And the boy young man, who had always found more safety in chaos than he ever did in tranquility, slipped suddenly and inescapably into sleep.
