Just for the record, Ronan did not have a death wish, just a ‘catch the bad guy no matter what it takes” wish. Two very different things. Nor did he need protection by the bureaucrats. Well, he got skimmed by the fireball, but it also served to suture the vampire bite on his hand. Probably not the effect that Goldwasser had intended. Still, he was going to have another one of those ‘scar-on-top-of-a-scar’ situations, this time a burn scar on top of a bite scar.
