Violet was bored and frustrated--why did she keep asking them why people itched? It was a
physical thing, wasn't it? There were all sorts of reasons it could be--allergies, dry skin, bug bites, or something serious, like cancer. It didn't have anything to do with the universe. Still, she grabbed a parchment piece and wrote down her answer to the last time she'd itched--it had been this morning, all over her head--and Violet already knew why, it was because she was unable to keep her head clean properly down in that dank room! But what she wrote was:

There, that was that. But what was this other thing? They were having a fight with a balloons? WHY were they doing this?! What on earth or in heaven did this exercise have to do with divination!?! Violet was just not in the mood, and grumbled mentally as she went up to collect her balloons. This was stupid, and school was stupid, and life was stupid, and Violet just DID NOT want to do this.
All the same, she lobbed her first balloon over at Nem...just because. She hoped it would contain itching powder, but instead it contained a swarm of fruit flies.
