Chloe's disarming spell did nothing, except that it was deflected BACK to her.... which she had fortunately managed to shout a "Protego Maxima!" in time. Yes she learned from the last time, which is why she wasn't fighting Simone ALONE. Also her fury raged at her boss even more but before she could think over what to do next, many things seemed to happen quickly in the next few moments with flashes of light and dust from her bombarda spell, that was somewhat effective.... and one struck her former schoolmate as he fell lifeless.
"Caleb!!! No!!!" Chloe's eyes widened as she turned back to the alliance members, feeling emboldened. But not enough as one of the alliance spells broke through her shield charm and knocked her back on her bum.
And the kid who was aligned with the alliance and had cast fiendfyre (where he learned that, Chloe could only speculate) had turned on Simone sending fallen rubble her way??? Wait, who was the kid aligned with then?? Had he been feigning aligning himself with the neo alliance?? But before she had the chance to to really pay too much attention about the kid, he was gone ... and soo was her boss lady, as she fell over the side of the bridge to her death, presumably. One gone, hundreds more to go. Woozily, the former gryffindor uprighted herself sending some knockback jinxes towards the alliance members in hopes to get some more ground gained. For Caleb, who was now on the back of someone else (Kurumi) and Chloe felt a sense of appreciation for the woman to not leave his body there to rot on the bridge.
