A lot of things happened at once. Nem had just BARELY missed her spell (by sheer, incredibly dumb luck), he cast a giant serpent of FIRE at her (really? he knew fiendfyre? that shouldn't have surprised her), AND more of those nasty Neo-Alliance hobos were coming out from the castle behind her. She was sandwiched between Neo Alliance hobos and there was a fiery serpent coming after her. Great.
"Protego Maxima!" Louise shouted, guarding herself from the stunning spell and the the flying rubble. She was starting to think that coming out here was a bad idea. Her jinx hadn't even done anything and now she was going to get burnt to a crisp. And she hadn't even found her mum yet...
In the split second that all that had crossed her mind, she found a new resolve to stay alive and fight. She HAD to see her mum, at the very least, before she died. If she died. Hopefully she wouldn't die?
Speaking of, there was a flash of green light... Two, at least, but one of them hit somebody. That was two deaths she had witnessed in the year. Her resolve grew again. As did her anger.
Louise turned her attention to the Neo Alliance hobos that were coming from the castle. Surely there were enough people pointing their wands at Nem to keep them occupied.
"BOMBARDA!" The redhead shouted, thrusting all of her energy into the spell as she sent it towards the crowd of hissing and snickering bad guys. She had practiced this spell in Rosier's class where he had the dummies crying like real people. So if it hurt, they could blame him. |
