Things were definitely getting, well, more interesting. There had been a moment at the orientation where Skye had questioned whether or not it was worth working at the Ministry, but after the news had filtered over to A&C about Hogwarts and the Neo-Alliance and, oddly enough, her own department head being basically a cult member, possibly even a high-ranking one, she was less questioning about her placement. Especially when that explosion had been awfully loud. The blonde had been tempted to head to MLE to check on her cousins, but instead she decided she was better used elsewhere. Like right where she was. Besides, she figured her father and likely Scottie himself would rather know she had stayed put. Stayed at the Ministry instead of rushing off to battle.

Even if there was every chance that she’d find that her boss wasn’t quite as sugar-coated as she always appeared. As to the question of if she was doing what she ought to be doing, the answer was absolutely. She’d thought her dueling skills wouldn’t be entirely useful, but now that might be put to the test. Although, for now she had chosen to just pause next to Penelope.
