books! i read them all like eight times as a child/teenager and i'm still in love with the world and characters. i'm not in love with everything j.k. does or says though so i'm actively trying to make the hp world more inclusive to all of those j.k. forgot or left out on purpose. the films are very fun to watch and i admire how much effort and detail was put into them (i know rarely any other films that have so many tiny background details and thought put into them) but you'll never get as much information as if you read the books and for me they are the only thing that can truly transport me into that world.
