Conjuration was an advanced branch of magic, and both of the girls were still in their early years of schooling. But he also knew that students needed space to try things on their own. Otherwise they'd never learn anything, so for now, watching was all he did.

It turned out that his help wasn't needed anyway, as both Miss Blackthorne and Miss Donovan successfully cast the spell themselves. "Good job," he said with a slight smile. He respected perseverance and independence. “Now there’s just one more thing to do before you can cast Piscifors. Take a few moments to visualize your concept. What does your fish look like? What color is it? What size?”

As he allowed time for the girls to visualize, he began to envision a fish of his own, and his thoughts kept turning to someone he greatly missed… Normandie, the daughter he’d been cut off from these past months. He imagined what she might look like in fish form… a small fish with long, flowy red fins and blue-green eyes. Keeping that vision in mind, picked up an empty fish bowl and filled it with a nonverbal Aguamenti. “When you’re ready, point your wand at one of the pebbles in the bowl and cast Piscifors,” he said. “If you’ve done it correctly, this spell will produce a blue light.”

“Piscifors,” Norman demonstrated, aiming his wand into the fish bowl with a decisive motion. Blue light erupted from the tip of his wand, and seconds later, there was a little red fish swimming in the bowl.
The light smile she received from Carton was an encouraging one. Sure she had to try casting the charm more than once and when it did finally work it was a small stream of water from her wand tip, but it was an accomplishment. One she was pleased with as of right now.

"Thank you, Professor," Dahlia smiled softly. Of course. Visualization and focus were key. "Sir, it works that easily? Any fish we want as long as we can truly visualize it? Does gender matter? Do we have to stick with fish that would normally fit into a tank this size? How long will my fish... remain a fish? Can I have several in here.. do they all have to be the same type of fish? Is it... really a fish? Do I feed them?" Sorry but this little Ravenclaw had ALLLLL the questions! "Also.. does this apply to other creature type charms?" Meaning color, size and things of that nature. This was all very very important.

Before doing anything at all, Lia couldn't help but watch Carton create his own fish. A beautiful little red fishy with flowy fins. "So pretty," she hummed. Needs a minute to consider what type of fish she wants.
