| broken Hufflepuff in here :( (if anyone wants to be the one to drag her back inside) Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict As Rosier had begun speaking, Gracelyn had curled her fingers up inside her robes, otherwise not showing much of a reaction. It was easier to just stay quiet in her position next to Cece and Kale. Even as he’d started listing names off, she hadn’t flinched until names of people she knew were said. Morgan, Flynn… Coby. She had almost instinctively looked around to see where Malia was at his name because she must have been reacting to it too. She would have been even more shocked if the Slytherin hadn’t, but then she’d finally acknowledged two of the other names on that list. Kale and Cece. The people she’d chosen to stand beside, to show solidarity with. Plus Kinsay and Cece’s brother. And Coby’s brother and Kale’s sister.
And people were getting hit for voicing their disapproval and Phoebe was volunteering herself to go with the others. Part of her understood that reasoning, actually, but at the moment the Hufflepuff was nearing the point of being beyond rationality. Little kids were being hit and/or dragged away with the others and Professor Williamson was being singled out…
There had been another flinch as she had more heard than seen the result of the Creatures professor stepping forward, since she had squeezed her eyes shut to try and keep herself from crying. Or screaming, considering it was obvious that wouldn’t have done much good. Instead, she was just standing there like a statue, trying to convince herself that none of what she’d just seen actually had happened. Like maybe when she opened her eyes again, Kale and Cece would still be standing next to her and Williamson wouldn’t have been tortured and, well… yup, she wasn’t moving.
