Calyx was excited because of two reasons, first reason being that he liked his job and enjoyed anything to do with his job, and second because he enjoyed his fiancée and she was here with him now! On his arm! His plus one! Except plus only one didn't really cut it so it was more like his plus a million! She was much better than a one.

"Look, Nina, we get name tags!" He found the one with his name on it - Calyx Morgan-Bott, Botanist- and pinned it on (a little crooked). It also happened to say 'halfblood' though it was rather nice compared to many of the other nametags that also were labeled as such. Calyx didn't notice at all though, he was too busy putting the lapel pin on too (a little less crooked).

"Should we get a drink first? Then we can say hi to people and I can introduce you to all my coworkers! And then dance, if you want to." Whatever she wanted to. Hehe.
