Mamie dutifully returned to the gates to fetch her things, as the parchment at the Whomping Willow had told them to do. She was not only disappointed in her and her classmates' ability to work together, but...well, she was worried about the fate of the Muggles. They had failed, despite their best efforts. What did that mean for the Muggles' fate? She hoped they would just be obliviated and returned to...wherever they'd been kidnapped from.

She doubted that would happen though.

She finally saw the dead Muggle on the ground. It hadn't been hard to believe when the others told her, but...it still made her uncomfortable and a little sad. She was at least glad she'd already run off after the other Muggles when that happened. The twelve-year-old had had enough trauma for the ~~year~~ day, without seeing a man murdered in front of her.

She picked up her bag, gave one last nervous look around whilst trying to avoid eye contact with the corpse and the headmaster, and hurried back to the castle. What had she learned today? Only that working with others was hard and scared people were irrational.
