Everything is close enough, I suppose," she replied with a voice filled with longing. "Isfahan is a city in my home country, Iran." One of her favorite cities, though nothing could ever compare to Shiraz.
Again, Yassi found herself perk up with excitement. "I would love that! I always feel a little lost when I venture to the thrift stores on my own." It was something that couldn't be helped, unfortunately. It was never quite as fun doing things on her own either, though this is something she had overcome in her time here. "I can already tell you are a wonderful shopping partner." She meant it too. With his energy and clear sense of style, it was difficult to imagine otherwise. "Look at us, we are starting our own movement!" She doubled over in laughter. To think, she had only come to Diagon Alley for a journal!
It took her a few seconds to recover from her laughter, but when she did she looked at her company quite curiously. "Ooh, Ooh," upon the realization as to what he was doing, Yassi's whole expression shifted. He was melting her heart. What a sweet gesture! "Thank you, this is so kind." She took the duplicate from him graciously, looking at it with sheer delight, before slipping it through her arm so that she could take out her own wand and perform the very same spell on her shades. "A trade," she laughed as she held out the duplicate pair of glasses for him and slid her own back on. "It is so very wonderful to meet you, Kitty." Yassi smiled warmly, bowing her head ever-so-slightly. "I am Yasmin, but friends call me Yassi." And oh, did she hope they could stay friends. Kitty steeled himself at her words—yes, with magic it couldn't be that hard to go. He could Portkey there sometime! And then, once he knew what it was like, he could Apparate. Easy peasy! He nodded. "Yes, you're right! It's not that far." Physically, though, it definitely was. "Ooooo, Iran? That's definitely pretty far. What is it like? When did you move here?" He always had lots of questions about foreign countries.
He giggled at her compliment. She was super sweet!!!! Kitty really loved this dynamic they had. "Awh, thanks! Okay we will definitely go thrifting someday! I know all the best spots around London, so we can make a whole day of it!" he grinned and squealed a little. "I'm excited! I've never gone thrifting with a friend before."
YES! A movement! "A cat-and-dog-person movement! An every-animal-person movement! This is how the world was meant to be!!" he laughed.
Kitty's eyes lit up as she duplicated her glasses. She took them from her gingerly, hopping from foot to foot excitedly. "Oh-em-gee!!!! Thank you so much!" he giggled giddily. He put the shades on his face and jumped up and down and clapped his hands. "AH! They're so lovely!!!" He sighed as he released his excitement. "It's so nice to meet you, Yassi! I'm so happy we met, you're literally the best!" And Kitty meant that completely—she was one of the greatest people he'd met in a while. |
