He had also wracked his brains and done RESEARCH to help him possibly figure out what this... Genealogical Squad?? Thing??? That Goldwasser had prepped him for would consist of.
He knew it wouldn't be good. He had no clue what it be about exactly, but it had to do with people's genetics, obviously. And with his assumptions about Goldy all but confirmed, he wondered if it had anything to do with humans....vs....VAMPIRES? Like...what even? His brain wasn't connecting all the dots yet.
Regardless, he needed a trip to this glass store. The items on his list? Foe-glass, a security mirror, and an enchanted mirror. Yes, he was ready to lay down all the gold for it. And he hadn't exactly told Logan, either. He might even buy multiple foe-glasses and enchanted mirrors.
So, here he was. He walked into the very quiet and possibly deserted shop with his hands in his pockets on this brisk, brisk day. His bright red scarf kept his neck and ears warm for now. He was all business. Certain things about the acceptance letter she’d received from the Ministry had given Skye pause. Even more so once her dad had seen the letter, not that she hadn’t told mum and dad she’d applied for the job. A job, but now it was official. She was officially a Ministry employee, or would be once she actually started working there. It was a personal matter that had brought her to Diagon Alley on a day off from uni classes. Namely, a request from her dad that was, she suspected, actually an ultimatum once he’d seen the letter. He wanted a way to keep in contact with her, that was maybe marginally safer than owls or Patronus messages, and therefore she had turned her feet toward the mirror shop. How dad hadn’t already had a set of two way mirrors in his collection, she had wondered as she headed over to that display.
Only to find her gaze snagged by the red scarf in her peripheral vision, and she had stopped halfway to the two way mirrors. The scarf owner looked vaguely familiar, but she didn’t want to assume.
