She selected a desk on one side of the room and set her textbook on the desk and her bag on the floor next to her chair. Merlin, she needed to take take her mind off of things and focus, but instead her mind just kept directing its attention back all those things. Sigh... Looking for her boyfriend, Gabrielle tried a lot of the sensible places - including the study hall, because Leighton was good and amazing and would probably still find some time to study just in case NEWTs were still going to go ahead. Unlike her, who had no desire to take them before everything that had happened... happened.
It wasn't her usual place, and Leighton wasn't there, so Gabrielle was about to leave when she noticed the rather distracted looking younger girl. And for SOME reason it was this term that she'd started to feel obligated to look out for the younger kids, so she couldn't just walk past. Standing over her, the seventh year chewed her lip for a moment before speaking.
"Are you okay?"
