As they walked, Quinn started thinking. Today was... the 11th, right..? Which means... "Oh, Eden... happy.... birthday..!" He gave as much of a smile as he could while trying to steady his breathing.
Eden was shocked that Quinn remembered her birthday. She didn't even know his, and felt like a pretty mediocre friend for it - hopefully it hadn't already passed. She gave him a bright, genuine smile and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as she began the long walk back to the castle.
"Aw...thanks Quinn. You're a real one."
One of the only real ones in this whole, blood-supremacist infested castle, yes he was. She pulled a small, pink, glittery, reusable water bottle out of her magically enlarged fanny pack.
"Here, want some water with a tropical fruit punch packet dissolved in?"
A fine muggle treat for two fine muggleborns, if you asked her.
