She had a tea with David's mother to prepare for, and that had honestly occupied her more than anything else going on in the world. Her blinders were on, so to speak, but not purposely. She was at her desk, translating some paperwork as she went, when she looked up and saw Louise looking rather frowny. "You okay?" she asked, her tone that of a concerned acquaintance and nothing more or less. "You look worried."
If Louise was being honest, it probably wasn't just the broadcast that had her mind preoccupied with worry and dread. And had Jessica discussed her recent turn of positive in the romantic department, Louise probably would have felt even worse. She was thirty years old and her own love affairs were stable, in that they were still non-existent. Not to mention her best friend (only friend?) was now married and they barely hung out anymore. So really there was that to feel horrible over too, even if usually she was content. Or so she told herself.

She glanced over when Jessica spoke and almost wasn't even sure she was talking to her. But a glance around the office told her she had been in fact speaking to her. "Me? I'm just ... Peachy. Or no , not really. The broadcast from the minister has me concerned and overthinking. And I just ... You ever feel like you're surrounded by people and yet so alone in this world?" gosh it had been a long time since she spoke to a girl friend, hadn't it?
