She had tried to even include the men in her lessons so that they could be a part of it and see what the students were learning, but they just wanted to take doorways away and harm children. "I am all for following rules, but I can't just stand by when young children are being harmed. It has always been my experience that people will follow you if they respect you, not be afraid of you. Also, I would like to point out it is a safety issue for removing doors from rooms." She was being polite, but she wanted to get her views across of the dangers that were found during that lesson.

"Sounds to me like you're trying to interfere with the disciplining of the students." The man summed things up as much. The first sentence, of wanting the squad to join the class, it was ridiculous enough for him to ignore it entirely.

"The Inquisitorial Squad is not there to mix and mingle. They ensure things go as they should. If they were punishing the students, it means they were not falling in line. We've made it very clear. If they get hurt, it's on them. If you interfere, you become a part of the problem."

Was she seeing where this was going?

"Professors are not above correction."

He gestured with a finger for the squad to come forward, wordlessly passing on his orders.

She'd agree that it could use a touch of redecorating, but that was of little importance right now in relation to everything else.

"Are the children really giving you that much trouble?" she asked curiously as she considered it a moment before nodding to herself. "Change can sometimes be difficult, especially when they can't yet see the whole vision." Children were notoriously short-sighted. "But they will bend. Young ones are spirited, but they're also so malleable. They'll soon understand how much better this will be for all of wizardkind." And if they didn't - there were always a few rogue dissidents who felt the need to rebel - she had no doubt that Lucien would swiftly take care of the issue. They'd come too far to let a few unruly children disrupt their mission.

"And the staff are falling in line?" She could help work a few enchantments that way, if needed, but it seemed as though Lucien had that under control as well. Adults could be sometimes more resistance to change, at least publicly, but she was sure many of them felt the same way the Neo-Alliance did, even if they had not felt able to express those sentiments before now.

Reaching into her bag, she pulled out a neatly folded cloak, running her hand over the silky, silvery material with a near reverence before presenting it to her brother. "Beautiful, isn't it? Bain has been serving us well." In fact, she'd been quite impressed with his work within the Ministry as well as his retrieving one of the cloak, more than she thought she would be.

And speaking of the Ministry, "Yes, I can see how that might be an issue for parents, but perhaps some public messages from the Minister would be reassuring. He's very trusted within the community and he even has a granddaughter who goes to school here." He went on and on incessantly about her. But they would need to cover all those details as well, and she did have the Minister's ear so she could easily make that happen. "I think that might go a long way to help make this transition run smoothly."

Reaching into her bag once again, she allowed her fingers to curl around the elder wand within, not yet pulling it out into the open.

"They're....as spirited as always." Read: rude, disrespectful and begging for the sweet release of death. "Like to present challenges however I like to think I've shown them that I mean business. If not," He shrugged, nonchalance dripping with each word he spoke. "What's a few fewer brats who can't acclimate to our new world." He didn't need them all, something they should think about before they decided to back talk him and do the most.

As for the staff...

"The staff...are learning. As you've said, change can be a bit difficult at first but we're also falling onto the same page. We agree the safety of the students is meant to be up on our list of priorities. The rest...has taken care of itself." The Squad was being put to good use and he expected reinforcements soon enough.

Lucien took the cloak, silently looking it over for a moment. It was, as his sister said, rather beautiful, and now it belonged to them. He nodded his agreement. Bain was not incompetent--which was to the man's benefit.

"The message will buy us enough time. Let's see the wand." The thing he was most eager to receive.

Huh. The door to the Headmaster’s Office was strangely haunting. Kale was so scared that his knees were visibly knocking.

Even so, he knew he had to see him. That horrible, swamp-donkey-faced pretender had taken up residence in his father’s office. The office that had pictures of his family sittin’ on the desk.

He could be brave. Or he could try. He wanted those pictures back. It didn’t feel right having them in the hands of that crusty oil monster. If his Dad was— phew, Kale had to taken a deep breath to power through the thought— dead, he needed those pictures back.

So Kale Trent lifted his fist and knocked.
What now?

The Headmaster hadn't been expecting anyone. He had things to do and arrangements to finalise. Merlin help him if it was just another unruly student or staff member. He didn't have time for the constant defiance. It was getting old.

Flicking his wand, Lucien watched the door swing open before returning to the report he'd been reading.

"Make this quick." Whoever you were.
