Delaney had decided that the best course of action for the remainder of class until she could go to the hospital wing was to ignore. Ignore the pain and ignore the hooded man. The only things she need to put her energy into were her rocks. And Bella. Delaney gave the finest nod of her head in response to her question, you wouldn't have even noticed it if you weren't looking for it, but kept her eyes trained on her rocks.
She glanced quickly as the handkerchief she offered. She wasn't sure if it was safe to take it. Would she get in more trouble? But the temptation was too much and as she covered mouth again with the handkerchief she was glad she did. The pain was not gone completely, but the burning had lessened and was much more manageable. With out speaking, Delaney hoped she was expressing her gratitude towards the fellow Slytherin with her eyes.
Right. Back to the rocks. Delaney took some time to hold each rock in her hand before writing out her assignment...
