Baguette | there is no D in my name | TRAITORclaw | Queenie of Narnia Of course this would be the activity. It shouldn't have been a surprise at this point in the lesson, but it was. Just the very...clear message and point of it all. Ivy couldn't believe this was really happening.
To think just yesterday on the train, she was thinking about the term ahead and what it would be like. She never would've guessed this.
But she had to do it. She had to just...focus on the fact that this wasn't real. They were just dummies, not people.
She practiced the wand movement several times, trying to focus more on how it felt than on the things she would be targeting. It isn't real...
But then, as the others were successfully casting their spells, the screams began.
Merlin's beard. It isn't real, it isn't real, it isn't real.
But it definitely felt a little more so now.
Not that it mattered. She had to participate, or there would be consequences.
Ivy took a deep breath to help her focus again. Focus on the spell and making it land. It wasn't the first time they had practiced with dummies, so this shouldn't be any different aside from all the obvious things that did make it very different.
There were a couple of dummies running together in one direction, so she aimed at them, moved her wand in the proper triangular shape, and cast, "Bombarda!"
