A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
A small smile creeped on Minjae’s face as he watched the dummies being blown up in a brilliant bright flash. He wasn’t smiling because he had blown up the *muggles* but because he was pleased that he was getting better and better with his non-verbal spells since last year. If the time ever came , he would be able to defend himself and the people he loved better than when he would blatantly shout out the spells he wanted to use. Non-verbal spells gave him the act of surprise.
Once the initial shock that the Tyrant had used dummies who looked like muggles for this training was gone and Minjae knew that they weren’t real, his breathing had become more steady and he lowered one hand from holding the Alder wand with both hands.
And then chaos all around. His stomach turned again at the realistic portrayal of the whole scene as he watched the dummies ran away in fear. ‘They’re just dummies. They’re just dummies. They’re just dummies’
He chanted these words in his head like a mantra, trying to convince his mind that what he was doing wasn’t terrible and that he was just practicing the bombarda charm.
He raised his wand and pointed it at the dummies who were getting up from their chairs . With a triangular flourish of his wand, the seventh year send another non-verbal Bombarda their way . He didn’t wait to see if it had worked though for he had seen a few other dummies trying to get away behind a food stall
Minjae leaned his body to the right and aimed his wand at the back of one of the dummies who was escaping with the group. This time, the seventh year didn’t use the Bombarda charm alone. He waved his wand and added another one after it. ”Bombarda!” he shouted and with the help of the homing spell to lock the spell on to its target, Minjae waited for the blast to come. 'They're just dummies. They're just dummies. They're just dummies'
